How does Chrono Nutrition Work?

Chrono Nutrition follows your body's metabolism. Chrono means time.

So how does the Chrono diet boost the body’s metabolism? Our bodies produce certain chemical at different times of the day and when these chemicals are released it is searching for the nutrient sources that it needs during this time.

If that source is not available to metabolize into the energy your body is requiring at this time, what you did feed your body is turned into fat.

Simply because your body isn’t requiring the chemical make up of what you just fed it.

What it doesn't need it stores!

For example, eating fruit for breakfast isn’t what your body needs at that time and the same is true for eating pasta for dinner, it isn' t the right nutrient requirement your body is in need of.

Eating to Boost Metabolism and Lose Weight

So, if you purposely eat to fuel your body's metabolism nutrient needs, you will not allow your body to store fat; hence optimal weight loss and you will have a lot more energy, too.

This is why it is important when following a chrono nutrition diet to give your body the food at the precise time it produces the chemicals that is needed to process the food to meet your body’s energy requirements.

In turn, you are boosting your metabolism and preventing storage of fat; this is what chrono nutrition is all about - timing.

Chrono Nutrition Diet And Body Shape

A Chrono Diet also balances out your figure.

According to Dr Delabos, the shape of the body reflects the food that we eat: too many vegetables leads to big hips and thighs, too much meat leads to a big chest and shoulders, and too much starch leads to a big and fatty stomach.

In other words, you are not giving your body the nutrient requirements it needs to metabolize and it is simply storing the unnecessary food nutrients you are eating; as fat, and where it stores this fat depends on the type of food you are eating.

This would suggest the foods you eat determine the shape of the body and that we can change our body shape by the intake of the foods we eat.

How does a Chrono Nutrition diet affect the body shape?

By not allowing fat to store anywhere in your body! Feeding the body the nutrients it needs to metabolize it into energy; not fat.

Body Metabolism and Enzymes

The body secretes these enzymes and hormones to regulate and metabolize food into energy:

  • Insulin - A protein or polypetide hormone that is secreted by the
islets of Langerhans in the pancreas that helps regulate the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats. Essential in helping the liver and muscle cells to absorb and metabolize glucose. It also stimulates the conversion of blood glucose into glycogen and fat, which are the body's chief sources of stored carbohydrates.
  • Lipases – Any of a class of enzymes that break down fats, produced by the liver, pancreas, and other digestive organs or by certain plants.
  • Proteases - Any of a group of enzymes that catalyze the hydrolytic degradation of proteins or polypeptides to smaller amino acid polymers. Metabolizes proteins used to produce cell content.

Eating what you need when you need it, there are no forbidden foods, no calorie counting and no fat or sugar control in a Chrono Diet.

Following Chrono Nutrition you improve your energy and general health.

And, you are less likely to suffer from diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and many other health issues that our unhealthy oversize meals and toxic diet (eating habit) can cause.

Chrono Diet Timeline Example

  • No fruit for breakfast - your sugar will spike and you will be hungry by mid morning.

  • Afternoon snack is very important; eat some sweets like chocolate or fruit. Chocolate?! Yes, dark chocolate is good and has anti oxidants and the sugars your organs need when they become fatigued in the afternoon and surprisingly enough chocolate is good for your skin.

  • No carbohydrates in the evening!

Chrono Nutrition Menu Examples

Give your body the nutrients it needs, when it needs it!

  • Breakfast Example - Bread, Cheese and Bacon – Carbs and Protein, Hot Beverage - No Milk or Sugar

Midday: Proteases are secreted to put in place cellular protein and to stock protein reserves.

  • Lunch Example - Meat, Potatoes and Greens – Protein, Carbs

Afternoon: Peak in insulin which uses sugar to compensate for fatigue linked to organ function.

  • Snack 3pm Example - Chocolate, Fruit, Fruit Juice and/or Soda – Carbs

Evening: Hardly any digestive secretions accept those that slow down the breakdown of food.

  • Dinner Example - Meat or Fish, Unlimited Salad - No Carbs

And Then, Two Meals a Week Eat and Drink Whatever You Like!

Simple Dieting Facts: Eat right, Eat Less and Move More!

A Chrono Nutrition Diet is simply feeding your body what it needs when it needs it.
